Our roots trace back to 57th and Center Street, where Irv and Ray Pentler, alongside William Lutter, returned from World War II with a dream to build something meaningful for their community. That dream became reality when they opened Uptown as a used car dealership. Just nine years later, in 1955, the business expanded into a Lincoln Mercury dealership on W. North Avenue in Wauwatosa. In 1966, the growing business moved to its now-iconic location on North Mayfair Road.

By 1991, Uptown saw the opportunity to bring our signature service to Washington County-and with that, Uptown Chevrolet was born in Slinger. Over the years, we've proudly added Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM to the Uptown family-but Chevrolet remains at the heart of our mission in Slinger, where we've earned statewide recognition and community trust.
